Drawing Skills 1: Pt 1; Project 2 Basic shapes and fundamental form – Ex 1 – Groups of objects

For this exercise I was asked to choose at least 6 objects of different shapes and sizes, some of which should be 3 dimensional in form such as rectangular and cylindrical, and others less regular such as a loose container.

Using one colour of my chosen media I was asked to loosely describe the group of objects, giving some thought to things like their weight transparency and the spaces between them.

I used a large piece of brown paper (around A2 size) with a blue oil pastel. I tried to stick to describing the objects by their outlines and using lines to show the position of light and the weight or form of their contents.
